2024: Journal of Business Research Editor's Choice List. The article titled "Transcending reality: Introducing mental time travel experiences and their ability to influence brand outcomes" selected in the 2023 Journal of Business Research's Editor's choice list.
2023: School of Business Distinguished Research Award. Winner of the College of Charleston School of Business Distinguished Research Award for publications in the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Please my research page for details of these publications.
2021: ExCEL Award for Outstanding Faculty of the Year. Winner of the College of Charleston's ExCEL Award for Outstanding Faculty of the Year for the School of Business. The ExCEL Awards Outstanding Faculty of the Year category recognizes and honors faculty’s overall excellence in teaching and service to students.

2019: Best Conference Paper – Managerial Contribution. Awarded Best Conference Paper at the 5th International Augmented and Virtual Reality Conference in Munich, Germany for the paper “Exploring the Antecedents and Consequences of Augmented Reality on Brand Experiences – A Longitudinal Perspective”
2017: Donald Sawyer Best Paper in Branding, Strategy & Research Award, Marketing Management Association. Awarded the Donald Sawyer Best Paper in Branding, Strategy & Research Award at the Spring Marketing Management Association Conference for the paper titled "Retweeting Brand Experiences: Factors Motivating Receivers to Proliferate Brand Image Disruptions."
2017: Moore Award for Excellence in General Education Teaching. Nominated for teaching excellence demonstrated in an International Business course.
Fellowships
2019: ANA/Fordham University Visiting Professor Program (VPP). The goal of the VPP is to enhance professors’ understanding of current developments and practice in advertising and marketing to inform their teaching and research. It is also a forum for professors to exchange learning, and to create long-term relationships with agencies and marketers. The VPP is a highly competitive program with over 100 professors applying for the 2019 award. A fellowship was awarded after a competitive application process.
2019: IRTS Foundation Fellowship. IRTS is a non-profit organization that provides a competitive, annual opportunity for university educators to meet with senior media and entertainment executives. Through sponsorship by the IRTS and its partnership with the Consumer Technology Association™ (CTA), sponsored faculty members also attend CES® 2019; the largest and most influential technology event, where industry leaders and rising stars come together.

2021: Harold & Muriel Berkman Foundation Marketing Research Grant. Awarded a research grant by the Harold & Muriel Berkman Charitable Foundation for a project titled 'Exploring the Psychological, Cogntive, and Sensory Aspects of Augmented Reality Experiences that Foster Positive Brand Equity Outcomes'
2020: ANA Education Foundation & Fordham University Center for Positive Marketing. Awarded a research grant for a project titled "Exploring Brand Mercenaries and Virtual Influencers and their Impact on Brand Outcomes"
2019: Global Business Resource Center (GBRC) Scholar Award. Awarded a summer research grant for an international research project titled “Social Media Influencers and their Impact on Brand Equity'
